Why rain gutters Maintenance is important……

Without proper maintenance, you could have installation problems.  However, proper maintenance will insure your system performs as efficiently as when first installed.
Leaves, twigs, shrub and tree debris can clog gutters and downspouts preventing proper drainage.  Dirt, dust and air pollutants are washed into gutters and build up a minimum of 1/8” to 1/2” per year (often much more depending on your area).  This build-up not only reduces the capacity of the gutter to handle drainage but the weight of it can cause sagging and damage to the installation of your rain gutter system.

How to Maintain your Raingutter System…

Once a year inspect your rain gutters and downspouts. Clean loose tree and shrub debris from your gutters.  Once a year may be often enough for most areas but, if you live in area with dense tree foliage a more frequent cleanings may be required.  Flush all dirt and build-up residue so that the gutter is restored to its original capacity.  Using a mild soap wipe off the exterior finish and like-new appearance will be retained.
